Supervised Contact

Principles and Guidelines

• CBCT provides a safe, supervised and child focused confidential service where children can have contact with a non-custodial parent and remain safe.
• Supervision occurs on the CBCT premises.
• The safety of the child is paramount at all times. Their rights and safety are always put first and foremost with parents's rights secondary. Supervision will occur on a 1:1 basis, which is one staff member to one family at one time.
• Specific rules and guidelines for access will be identified as part of an assessment process, it is expected all parties will adhere to these, in the event of these rules and guidelines being broken access arrangements many be cancelled.
• Costs associated with supervised access will be negotiated at the time the referral is processed.
• Access is available Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
