Aim

All referrals to the service are through the Clinical Specialist Group at Youth Specialty Services. Referrals will be considered against criteria for entry and availability of beds. Maximum stay in this program is usually three months.
Goal focused
Young people coming into the service will have a plan which identifies clear goals and tasks which are recovery focused working towards wellbeing. This plan will be developed in conjunction with the Senior Therapist, Occupational Therapists (Case Managers) and the Clinical Specialist Group.
Family
It is expected family will be an integral part of the young person's plan and will support and encourage their young person to work towards achieving their goals.
The program
Is offered from two 3-4 bed homelike settings. It is anticipated that where possible young people will continue to participte in their existing community school, recreational and educational activities and supports. Staff will work closely with existing mental health specialist support workers. The homes are staffed twenty four hours per day over seven days.
Costs
The majority of board costs are covered by us for the period of time the young person is in the service. This will be discussed during the service entry process.
